When time permits, David loves talking about the creative process with students and teachers—from grade school to grad school. 

​

David is also available for speaking engagements for select businesses, organizations, animation festivals, and book fairs. 

​

During David’s presentations to children he describes his journey from being a little kid who loved to draw and write, to being a big kid who creates movies and books for a living. David reads from one of his published books, discusses his process of writing and illustrating, and gives a drawing demonstration with some basic drawing lessons.

​

For adults, David will share details about his creative process, from an idea’s initial nugget of inspiration through story development, and production. He’ll share tips about pitching movie ideas to the big studios, pitching book ideas to publishers, as well as similarities and differences in the process for each.
